Each Betaferon single pack contains the following items:
1 Betaferon vial (with powder for injection solution)
1 prefilled syringe of solvent for Betaferon (sodium chloride solution 5.4 mg/ml [0.54%])
1 vial adapter with a pre-attached needle
2 alcohol swabs for skin and vial cleaning
Before you start
It is important to eliminate stress in order to effectively administer your injection. Having all the necessary items and choosing a time and place where you are least likely to be interrupted is a great strategy. Administering your injection before you go to bed can be a good idea. Not just because you can sleep through any possible side effects that may occur, but also because you are not under daily stress any more.
Remember, to get the most out of the treatment, Betaferon should be administered under the most sterile conditions available. First, place all the necessary items on a clean surface, including a disposal unit for used syringes and needles. You may also want to use a specially designed non-slip Betaferon mat for preparing your injection. Then wash your hands thoroughly. Now you are ready to start the actual assembly and preparation process.
