My name’s Islam A., I’m Egyptian physiotherapist. I’ve a patient with MS 14 ago. Her last attack since 3 years get her on wheel chair. With Allah (My God) help then with her brave will, I successed to get the wheel chair off partially and let her to walk on one crutch and small help from my hand then she now is developing to get stable on two crutch but we failed.
The problem in her way of eating, We are in need to protien but MS prevent any milky products (white cheese, Yoghrt, ..etc)
Also she noticed that the contour of one calf muscle is incresed and the other is decreased..
Frankly, My speciality is orthopaedic, but she can’t trust any one else to treat her, So I’ve been obligated to read more and more (more than we had studied in the collage) and search about Multiple Sclerosis.
I hope to help me.

Your friend is very fortunate to have someone like you to help her. It appears you pretty much have things under control with your friend. Is she on any therapy?
I am on Betaseron and am doing well at the present time. I have found the key to success with this disease is to be educated. It is important that your friend read also about this disease. Another factor is acceptance that I still have a problem with. When you are doing well, you sometimes think the Doctors missed it, and that you are fine.
There are no two people alike with this disease. I never heard of the dairy products and MS. Would like to know more.

There are a lot of information about MS diet on the Internet, just search.
Here are the results of my own searching concerning this topic:
The key elements of diet revision for MS are:
1. Avoid all dairy, grains, legumes, eggs and yeast.
2. Avoid all allergenic foods which are identified by skin and ELISA tests.
3. Avoid all red meat and margarine
4. Eat fish and skinless breast of chicken and turkey, for protein fruits and vegetables for carbohydrates and micro-nutrients and extra virgin olive oil and unrefined sunflower oil for fats.
