I am 26 and pregnant with MS. I am due in 3wks. Being pregnant has been the best months of my life. I finally feel like a normal person again. It has been a very smooth and easy going pregnancy. I have more energy than my husband. I am nervous about how I will feel after my pregnancy, but this little man inside of me is well worth anything. Good Luck!

Olen kuullut että raskaus suojelee MS-äitiä. Ei tiedetä tarkkaan miten istukan erittämät hormoonit ovat asiaan yhteydessä, mutta epäillään niiden vaikutusta asiaan positiivisesti.

Having MS is difficult...I know. I am a patient too. I am 26 and the first doctor who tried to treat me, said that I would paralyse if I would try for a baby. The truth is that MS can’t hurt your baby. I changed doctor and now I am also trying to have my first baby. During pregnancy most women stop their treatment (after talking with the doctor) and start again after the delivery. It is a simple procedure, painless and unique! Having a baby! Worry only about what clothes you ’ll wear tomorrow instead of poisonning your soul with thoughts that lead nowhere.
Your baby will be born healthy and you ’ll be fine as well. I think you should talk to your doctor about your thoughts so that he can explain to you that the baby runs no risk during the pregnancy (that goes for you too). I hope the very best for you

My husband and I took ages to get pregnant, I had to reduce lots of medication first, and don’t assume you are the only one with problems, it turned out we both had fertility problems ! Lots and lots of rumpy pumpy .BIG PANTS Vitamins C E and omega 3& 6 for him, bromocriptine and weight loss for me, I was 39 when I did get pregnant, and he was 49 ! Being pregnant was splendidly rubbish sick as a dog but no regrets. Then we did it again ! 2 stunningly beautiful children my ms has been much worse since my second was born but that is pot luck and I dont regret it a jot. I have just started betaferon and that is rubbish too, feeling wretched with 2 small children has a very low fun rating !

Hi there! I am 26 recently diagnosed, no children. I live in Chicago. There is a study that one of the top Neurologists for MS wanted to involve me in. He stated that when women with MS were pregnant, that for some reason they felt wonderful!! No flare ups, and this study involved take a hormone similar to the one a females body releases during pregnancy. I am sad because due to another neurological condition, i cannot be included, but i really am curious. He has studied MS for over 30 years, and i am very fortunate to have him locally.
